[ABOUT]

I'm Ymke, 25 years old. Born and raised in Belgium. Graduated as a nurse at 22. After I graduated I started traveling for a month and fell in love with Bali.

I never really left after that. Now I live half a year in Belgium and half a year in Bali. Six months working night shifts as a nurse, six months trying to figure out how I actually want to live.

I'm not asking what if or when. I'm doing it. Trying new things, figuring it out, building the life I want instead of waiting for the right moment.

Nursing changed how I see everything. You learn to read what’s actually wrong versus what just looks wrong. You learn that details matter because they keep people alive. That shapes how I build brands. I didn’t go to design school. I learned all of this in between — night shifts in Belgium, slow mornings in Bali. And I’m still learning every day, trying different things until it feels right.

In nursing you never work alone. You catch what others miss and they catch what you miss.

That became my whole approach — figure it out together with people instead of pretending I have all the answers. It’s messier than a plan.

It’s honest. It works.

[WHAT I ACTUALLY DO]

Branding. Brand voice, positioning, strategy. I visualize it so it all comes together into a true identity in both voice and visuals. The whole shape of it. Making sure your brand feels like one person, one thought, not a collection of nice things.

What I want is simpler.

I want to stop doing night shifts someday. I want the Bali and Belgium life to actually work, not just look good in photos.

I want to build something that matters to people. Not just beautiful work. True work.

I’m nowhere close to done. Still nursing. Learning every day.

Trusting the process to build something I’m proud of.
